“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” Matthew 6:25
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,
for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Matthew 6:34
“Who of you by
worrying can add a single hour to your life?” Luke 12:25
Worry
is never listed as a sin in the Bible, but it could be a side effect of sin,
most likely a lack of faith. Worry is
the constant meditation on the unknown, the “what-if.” Worry does not trust in God, but trusts more
in one’s constant rehearsal of the worst possible scenario.
Jesus
said not to worry but to trust. Our
mental wrestling of a problem will never beat an issue, only beat us to
death. Surrender the outcome of your
issue to God and let him worry about it.
