Why was the bed of Og king of Basham mentioned?

(Og king of Bashan was the last of the Rephaites. His bed was decorated with iron and was more than nine cubits long and four cubits wide. It is still in Rabbah of the Ammonites.) Deuteronomy 3:11
It’s an odd piece of trivia mentioning the size of a king’s bed which turns out to 13.5 feet long by 6 feet wide.  It is mentioned to emphasize two things – how big the king was and how powerful he was.
The Rephaites are mentioned in Deuteronomy as part of a race of large, giant men.  The fact that his bed was so long proves his enormous height.  It was made of iron meaning he was a heavy man too.
Also, since a king such as Og had a bed meant he had wealth and didn’t sleep on the floor.  Even his bed was specifically crafted for him.
