And the
devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the
beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and
night for ever and ever. Revelation 20:10
Then death
and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second
death. Revelation 20:14
The lake
of fire is a reference to hell. HELL in
the Greek is geenna and it means a
place of future punishment. Jesus used
the term eleven times.
Strong’s
Concordance says, Hell is the place of the future punishment call
"Gehenna" or "Gehenna of fire". This was originally the
valley of Hinnom, south of Jerusalem, where the filth and dead animals of the
city were cast out and burned; a fit symbol of the wicked and their future
destruction.
Everyone
who does not believe in Jesus or who caused others to not believe in Jesus will
be thrown there, tossed away, where they will be persecuted.
