Therefore this is what the Lord says: ‘I will bring on them a disaster they cannot escape. Although they cry out to me, I will not listen to them. Jeremiah 11:11
“Do not pray for this people or offer any plea or petition for
them, because I will not listen when they call to me in the time of their
distress. Jeremiah
11:14
There’s
a moment that’s called “the point of no return.” It means God’s mind
is made up, He’s given people enough time to repent, but now it’s time to
pay.
At
that point, prayer would do no good. Once the consequences of
someone’s actions become real, people always repent and want
mercy. God wants them to repent before the consequences hit.
Look
at criminals. They commit crimes left and right with no
regret. Then, they get caught and all of a sudden they feel sorry
because they know jail time awaits. The police don’t listen to
their begging and pleading. It doesn’t do any good.
Our
prayers are the same way once God has decided the punishment is
coming. Before that time, He’s all ears. Talk to Him
before it’s too late.
