When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. Matthew 8:16

Great crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them. Matthew 15:30

…and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was. Mark 1:34

For he had healed many, so that those with diseases were pushing forward to touch him. Mark 3:10

They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them. Mark 6:13

            Jesus healed many people to get everyone’s attention and believe he was God.  This was something only God could do.  Once they saw what God could and that Jesus was God, then they put their faith in him.

            It was also prophesied that Jesus would heal many.

Then will the eyes of the blind be opened
    and the ears of the deaf unstopped.
Then will the lame leap like a deer,
    and the mute tongue shout for joy.  Isaiah 35:5-6

            It was a quality of the Messiah that he would heal so Jesus fulfilled that prophecy.
