The wolf will live with the lamb,
the
leopard will lie down with the goat,
the calf and the lion and the yearling together;
and a little child will lead them.
The cow will feed with the bear,
their young will lie down together,
and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
The infant will play near the cobra’s den,
and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest. Isaiah 11:6-8

The
imagery Isaiah used was meant to express peace.
Whether wolves and lambs, leopards and goats will sleep together wasn’t
the point. It’s that the relationship in
the animal kingdom will one day change from predator and prey to peaceful
friends.
The
only time this could happen is in the new heaven and the new earth. We know God will reboot the earth and
certainly animals will be in that equation.
The animals got along on the ark for over a year and didn’t eat each
other. God could do that for eternity.
