Scholars
aren’t sure but believe it was a sect that followed a man named Nichols. Either they embraced Gnosticism (mysterious,
mystical, secretive teachings) or idol-worship and sexual practices. There was an obscure man named Nichols from
Antioch who served Christ (Acts 6:5).
Maybe he lost his way and started his own denomination.
Either
way, he was bad and God hated his practices.
