Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and
training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be
thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Paul
stated the Bible’s purpose in 2 Timothy 3.
He said the Bible was breathed into writers who exhaled on to the paper
to write the truth. So, since it come
directly from God then it has some purpose in our lives.

Teaching – to instruct
people on truth

Rebuking – to chastise
people who are doing wrong
3.
Correcting – to give
slight adjustments to someone’s life
4.
Training – to
strengthen someone for service
5.
Equipping – to give
someone the tools they need to do good things
