“God
has made me a byword to everyone,
a man in whose face people spit.” Job 17:6
He has blocked my way so I
cannot pass;
he has shrouded my paths in darkness.
He has stripped me of my honor
and removed the crown from my head.
He tears me down on every side till I am gone;
he uproots my hope like a tree.
His anger burns against me;
he counts me among his enemies. Job 18:8-11

God may block people’s reactions to
you and/or close doors of opportunities.
It may feel like nobody cares about you and God is against you.
Why would God do this? Does he hate you? No way.
God wants to see what you will do in
response to this season of life. Will
you lash out in anger? Will you go to
God in prayer? Will you take matters in
your own hands or trust him by faith?
There’s always a reason behind these
reactions. Job went through that season,
but came out of it extremely blessed and respected. Through Job’s experience, God wanted to show
others how to live when it seems God doesn’t like you. Job praised God and never cursed him.
