How did Adam and Eve come to life?

. . .the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. Genesis 2:7
To make man, God used the existing element of dust, then breathed into it His breath of life. Physiologically, we are made from elements found in the earth and when we die, we decompose and return to those elements. . .dust. The breath was God’s spirit, which lives on for eternity, animating those natural elements of our body.

So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. Genesis 2:21-22
To make woman, God used the existing element of man, removing a part of him and forming woman from man’s DNA. The closeness and intimacy of a man and woman exists when two become one, completing the union of two DNA’s.
