If Christians trust God, should churches have security and lock their doors?

“I was ashamed to ask the king for soldiers and horsemen to protect us from enemies on the road, because we had told the king, ‘The gracious hand of our God is on everyone who looks to him, but his great anger is against all who forsake him.’” Ezra 8:22

Today we live in a violent society.  Yes, we pray for the protection of our people at church.  However, we must also take security measures to protect our people physically.  It’s not showing a lack of faith if we bring police protection to our churches and locking our doors.  God can use that officer to help.  With so many legal ramifications, churches today have to show they are doing more than just prayer.
