“What has happened to us is a result of our evil deeds and our great guilt, and yet, our God, you have punished us less than our sins deserved and have given us a remnant like this.” Ezra 9:13

            Yes, but grace (mercy).  God should punish us the second we sin with immediate separation to hell.  However, His love allows us to discover salvation through Jesus Christ.  It would be unjust if He overlooked the sins completely.  If we don’t accept Christ as our savior, we receive the full punishment of separation in hell.  That is justice for unbelievers.
