“Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.” Luke 13:4-5

            Not much is known about this tower since no historical record occurs about it.  But the tower of Siloam would possibly be a tower built in the wall around Jerusalem which collapsed due to structural errors and killed eighteen people.  The pool of Siloam is mentioned in the Bible, so that tower could have been near the pool at a city gate.

            Jesus emphasized repentance in one’s life because tragedies occur and you could suddenly meet God.  Are you ready, Jesus asks.
