Then the Lord said to him, “Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness. You foolish people! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also? But now as for what is inside you—be generous to the poor, and everything will be clean for you.”  Luke 11:39-41

            There are a few warning signs that you’re becoming a Pharisee:

1.      You clean up nice on the outside, but on the inside you’re selfish.

2.      You aren’t generous to the poor.

3.      You tithe but your heart isn’t joyful.

4.      You neglect justice and the love of God.

5.      You like to flaunt your position in the church.

6.      You burden others with things but you don’t follow those rules.

7.      You erect monuments to people who you didn’t like.

8.      You don’t listen to wise people.

9.      You don’t allow others to listen to other people’s wisdom.
