They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. Luke 9:17

            Because when God blesses, he does so to abundance.  Leftovers show unlimited power, saying, he could have fed more if he needed to.  The leftovers had significance, metaphors for Jesus’ purpose.  Twelve basketfuls represented the twelve tribes, saying he came to feed the Jews.
