“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21

            Joseph and Mary named the baby Jesus because the angel told them too.  Why did God pick Jesus as a name?  The name means “Jehovah is salvation.”  It was also a common name, speaking to the message that Jesus came for all people.
