The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God… Mark 1:1

            “Gospel” means “good news.”  The good news is that Jesus the Messiah—the promised one, the prophesied one from the Old Testament—has come to save us and lead us to salvation.  He is God, Emmanuel, visiting earth himself to be with his people.  Only through Jesus can we be saved from our sins and enter into a relationship with God forever.  That’s the good news.
