Does God magically transport people to other places?

When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing. Philip, however, appeared at Azotus and traveled about, preaching the gospel in all the towns until he reached Caesarea. Acts 8:39-40
God can do whatever he wants to do, but he did miraculously transport one person to another place, a sort of “beam me up, Scotty” moment.  Philip was on a desert road talking to an Ethiopian, an important appointment God wanted him to have.  Then, God needed him in Azotus, a city on the Mediterranean coast.  Another divine appointment necessary right at that time.  Philip traveled up the coast to Caesarea to preach.  No other apostle gets the miraculous transport treatment, but what’s to say God can’t do it today.
