Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s
mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to
God—this is your true and proper worship.
Romans 12:1
A living sacrifice is not dead. A dead sacrifice can do nothing. A living sacrifice lives sacrificially,
constantly putting itself “on the altar” for others so they can live. Jesus did not die once and that was it. He rose out of the grave and continues to be
the example of a servant, giving for others.
A living sacrifice has a constant mindset of sacrifice while he lives.
