For I am
convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the
present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor
anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God
that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
These verses say nothing will
separate you from the love of God.
Nothing seen or unseen. Now or
later. Nothing above or below.
But what about ourselves? Can we separate ourselves from the love of
God? The will of man is a powerful,
stubborn force that can do a lot of harm.
While we can create distance between us and God, God’s love is always
near and present no matter how far we try to run.
This was written to Christians, but some may ask, can a
Christian separate Himself from the love of God? A Christian can go through a season of
running from God, emotionally (and immaturely) trying to remove himself from a
relationship with God, but God won’t turn His back on him.
