Are my artistic abilities a gift from God?

Then the Lord said to Moses,  “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills—to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts. Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you.” Exodus 31:1-6
Yes, God created all of us and gave us all our abilities.  People who don’t love God have incredible artistic abilities and don’t give him any credit.
When God gave instructions on how to make the tabernacle, he gave specific details and wanted it to be the best quality, so he filled Bezalel and Oholiab with his Spirit, giving them wisdom, understanding and knowledge.  Were they already good craftsmen?  Probably.  Did they become better craftsmen?  Yes.
God filled them to make them the best they can be for his purposes.  Does He still do that today?  Yes.  Filmmakers, songwriters and artists who give their talents to the Lord are given wisdom, understanding and knowledge so God’s glory can shine through their work.
