Is the devil after me?

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 1 Peter 5:8-9
Yes.  If you are a Christian, the devil (and his demons) want to tempt you to fail in your Christian walk.
He roars, meaning he’s loud and not afraid to make himself public.  He wants to devour, consuming pure lives and turning them into a bloody mess.  The devil wants you to be afraid, so you think you must submit.
But you have a lion on your side too—the Lion of Judah, Jesus Christ—who has real power and can shoo the devil away.
You can resist the devil simply through the power of choice, by refusing temptations and accepting God’s commands.  So resist and stand firm.  Know that you are not alone.  Others are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
And you’ll reduce that roaring lion into nothing more than a scaredy cat.
