are written in the annotations of the prophet Iddo. 2 Chronicles 13:22
The
prophet Iddo lived around the time of the kings Solomon, Rehoboam and Abijah. He had visions concerning Jeroboam, Rehoboam’s
nemesis in Israel (2 Chronicles 9:29).
It also appears he recorded parts of history (2 Chronicles 12:15,
13:22).
Iddo’s
descendant also became a prophet, Zechariah (Zechariah 1:1) who helped the Jews
as they returned to Jerusalem during the time of Ezra (Ezra 5:1).
Iddo does not
get much attention these days but he was a significant individual who God used
at a critical time.
