Does the Bible say to kill non-believers?

They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their ancestors, with all their heart and soul. All who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, were to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman.  2 Chronicles 15:12-13
The Bible does not support killing non-believers just because they don't believe.  In this verse the nation of Israel was killing its own people because the nation was at a crossroads.   These were their own people who should have been believers.  They ones they were killing were those who brought in the idol worship.  According to Israel’s standards at that time, they were being killed for treason.  Today, nations have similar laws for treason and the death penalty is applied.
This period of time was a small section of Judah’s history and not a reoccurring way of life for believers today.
