Who were the innkeepers of the Christmas story?

While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Luke 2:6-7

The word "inn" in Greek is katalyma and it means lodging place, dining room, guest chamber.  There were no Holiday Inns, Best Westerns or Marriot Bethlehems in that time.  People had guest rooms for visitors.  This verse is saying there was no room in any of the guest rooms in town because of the census.

There is no mention of innkeepers or hotel managers in the Bible.
