There are two heavens spoken about in the Bible.
Right now, the spirits of the dead who accepted Christ as their
savior go to a spiritual place that exists in another dimension. It cannot be
seen by human eyes. Jesus tells of this place in Luke 16. Your spirit exists in
the presence of the Lord.
This is a type of spiritual heaven.
In the future, after Jesus returns and the Day of Judgment occurs,
God will restore the earth back to its original design. A new heaven and a new
earth will exist. This new heaven is a physical place that is populated with
resurrected physical bodies.
This will be the new heaven and the new earth. This is a physical heaven.
The first heaven is all about awareness,
there is no physical address, but consciousness. It exists in a dimension beyond that which we
can see.
The second heaven definitely has a where-ness to it and the address will be a real place.
