As it is written:
“There is no one righteous, not even one;
there is no one who understands,
no one who seeks God.
All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.”
“Their throats are open graves;
their tongues practice deceit.”
“The poison of vipers is on their lips.”
“Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”
“Their feet are swift to shed blood;
ruin and misery mark their ways,
and the way of peace they do not know.”
“There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Romans 3:10-18

Before we go after Marilyn Manson, we must remember that no one is a good person. We are all bad because we sin. On top of that, Jesus warns us about pointing fingers at others.

Marilyn Manson certainly is no saint and does not portray an image of “goodness” that others should follow or emulate. He knows he is a rebel and unashamedly parades that before others.

But Marilyn Manson is just a stage name. . .an act. His real name is Brian Hugh Warner. We must never forget that he’s a person just like all of us. He struggles with feelings of inadequacy, hopelessness and confusion just like we all do.

Like all of mankind, he and everyone else will stand before God and be judged for eternity. Don’t forget that. Yes he’s a bad person, but so am I. I’m only forgiven because of what Jesus Christ did for me.
