Is God really going to let me into heaven?

They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” Acts 16:31

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13

"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

Once you are saved by believing that Jesus died for your sins and offers you eternal life, your new and improved relationship with God guarantees an afterlife with God. You will not be separated from him forever.  God wants to spend eternity with those who believe.

So yes, if you have done that, God will let you into heaven.

After judgment and the separation of believers and unbelievers, Jesus said:

“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” Matthew 25:46

We should always have a healthy sense of appreciation and awe that God would forgive sinners and allow them into a relationship with a holy God. We are only declared righteous, in a right relationship with God, because of what Jesus did, not what we did.

While it may be hard to believe, we need to know it, accept it and praise God for it.

God does not want us living in doubt, wondering if we’ve done enough to earn out way into heaven.  We could never do enough to pay for the debt of our sins.

God wants us to live confidently now, knowing we are his adopted sons and daughters because the blood of Jesus paid for our sins and we are awaiting a homecoming after our departure from this earth.
